Thursday’s scheduled session was 60 mins on the turbo-trainer which I did in the evening. This left lunch time free from training as planned, as I was meeting a colleague I used to work with for lunch. We went to one of the local pubs and caught up on what had been happening in each others lives, as well as having a beer and a rather nice ham and cheese toasty. The turbo session went OK and at the moment as most of my training sessions are “Base miles” I feel pretty refreshed after them and I am ready for the next session the following day. That will change later in the training cycle as I start to add tempo and pace sessions and I will really need to concentrate on recovery both physical and nutritionally.
