A Steady Run

Today’s session was a 90 minute steady-state run at 75% of Max Heart Rate and I ran with Nathan, Zac, Jean and Stuart.  As usual we had a good gossip but it was quite hard to keep the pace low as Stuart and Jean are off at 7.5 to 8.0 minute mile pace.  But after the run I had a cooked breakfast at work of toast, scrambled egg and loads of mushrooms.  I love fried whole mushrooms and the plateful slipped down a real treat.  As my run was at a steady pace I felt really good for the rest of the day and I am looking forward to tomorrow’s three-and-a-half-hour bike ride.  I hope to get about 58 to 60 miles in and with a bit of luck it will be dry.
